Indian art sticks to a tradition unique to India containing a number of myths and rituals based on its diverse ethnicity and religion. Thanks to its rich and long history, India has possibly the world's best and numerous artifacts and artworks. Korea and India has a long relationship through Buddhism, and though the relationship of the two states have become closer, Indian culture is still unknown in many areas in Korea. The Indian Art Museum displays diverse Indian art that curator and artist Park Yeo-song and her husband Professor Baek Jwa-heum, who conducts research on India, collected. Mrs. Park was fascinated with Indian art since 1981 and for a time lived in India, while also hosting solo exhibits based on the Indian society and life of Indians. The Indian Art Museum also operates various Indian culture experience programs such as learning about the techniques of Indian art, as well as body painting, Indian clothing culture and Indian tea experience.
