새로운 가능성, 새로운 한계들 ; ‘구글과 함께 하는 반짝박물관’의 시사점들
국립중앙박물관에서는 구글 컬쳐앤아트와 함께 어린이박물관 전시실에서 2017년 7월~8월까지 7주간 VR, AI 등을 이용한 디지털 체험문화공간인 반짝박물관을 운영하였다. 유네스코 세계문화유산과 국립중앙박물관을 비롯한 전세계 주요 박물관의 소장품을 기반으로 만들어진 다양한 디지털 체험물과 이를 이용한 전시와 교육프로그램이 실시되었다. 이글에서는 어린이박물관에서 관람객에게 제공할 수 있는 체험에 대한 디지털 콘텐츠의 다양한 가능성과 한계점에 대하여 알아보고 여러 관람객의 실제 체험들에 대한 반응도 제시한다. 그리고 디지털콘텐츠의 단점을 보완하고 효과를 극대화하기 위하여 꼭 필요한 교육프로그램 개발 요소들도 살펴보고자 한다.
New Potential, New Challenges: What we learned through the Google Pop-up Lab at the National Museum of Korea
The National Museum of Korea, along with Google Culture and Art, held a sparkling museum, a digital experience culture space using VR and AI, for 7 weeks from July to August 2017 in the children's museum exhibition room. A variety of digital experiences, exhibition, and educational program based on the collection of UNESCO World Heritage and other major museums around the world, including the National Museum of Korea, were implemented. This article will examine various possibilities and limitations of the digital contents regarding the experiences that can be provided to the visitors in the Children’s Museum, and will present responses of the visitors for actual experiences. Furthermore, this article will look at the factors of the educational program development that are necessary to complement the shortcomings of digital contents and to maximize their effects.
