인공지능 4차 혁명과 박물관 미래
현재 국내 박물관은 박물관 등록제도에 따라 그 수가 매 해 증가하고 있으나 박물관 경영에는 어려움에 직면하고 있다. 이에 따른 정책적 지원의 일환으로 문화체육관광부는 전문인력 지원사업 및 교육프로그램 지원사업으로 경영의 어려움에 처한 국내 박물관에 부분적인 지원정책이 시행되고 있으나 결과는 단편적인 효과만을 나타내고 있는 실정이다.
이러한 국내 박물관 정책이 지속되는 동안 새로운 기술 진보로 파격적으로 변화하는 4차 산업시대가 진행되면서 박물관의 외부 환경에 크나큰 변화가 도래하였다. 외부 환경의 급진적 변화에 대응하기 위하여 4차 산업시대에 대한 이해와 국내 박물관의 대응 전략을 모색하는 한편, 4차 산업시대에 부응하는 박물관의 발전을 위한 방향은 박물관 인증제도의 확대와 박물관법에 평생교육기관, 연구기관, 공익복리비영리기관의 명문화가 정책적으로 수반되어야하며 위의 정책을 수용하기 위한 사립 박물관들의 법인화 노력이 요구된다.
The AI Fourth Revolution and the Future of Museums for Korea
At this time, thanks to the museum registration policy, the number of museums in Korea is increasing. Nevertheless, they are facing difficulties in management. Likewise, as a part of supportive policy, by executing skilled workers support project and training program, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has executed partial policy support for domestic museums facing difficulties in management. However, it is only showing fragmentary effect. In the midst of such change in museum policies, there was an enormous change in the external environment of museums as a result of the start of the 4th industrial revolution that causes rapid changes along with new technical advancement. Therefore, there is a need to understand the age of the 4th industry in order to respond to dramatic changes in the external environment, and to seek for strategic responses for museums in Korea. Meanwhile, the direction to develop museums corresponding to the age of the 4th industry must be accompanied with policies that extends the museum registration policy, and stipulates life long educational institution, research institute, and public welfare non-profit organization in the museum law. Furthermore, it requires incorporation of private museums to accommodate a forementioned policies.
